Position Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services on a part-time basis (10–30 hours per week). This is a new position within our practice, with the opportunity to expand to a full-time role if desired as the caseload grows.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with children and/or adults and have experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism. We work with individuals with a range of diagnoses including Autism and ADHD. We welcome applicants who specialize in pediatrics, adults, or who have experience prescribing across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support integrated treatment planning
- Educate clients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with insurance and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Social Sparks’ supportive, client-centered culture
Qualifications
- Current Rhode Island APRN licensure with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience prescribing for children, adolescents, and/or adults in outpatient behavioral health preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Dedication to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly rate: depending on clinical experience and population served
- Hours: 10–30 hours/week to start, with the possibility of expanding to full-time
- Flexible scheduling; hours can be discussed and tailored during the interview process
- Administrative and billing support provided
- Option to work from either our Lincoln or South County Commons location
