We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and hands-on Senior Social Media Strategist / Manager to join our small but mighty team at Social Medusa Media Inc. Social Medusa Media Inc. is a boutique social media agency based in Los Angeles. We specialize in bringing brands to life online through creative content, strategy, and storytelling. Our clients include restaurants, food & beverage concepts, and consumer product brands — including a new baby products account launching this year.
This is a 6-month full-time contract role (40 hrs/week) with the option to extend. The position is hybrid: you can work from home most of the time, but will be required to attend in-person client shoots and occasional client meetings in LA.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and executing client strategies, managing content calendars, creating and editing content, and coordinating with clients, influencers, and talent. Because we’re a small team, you’ll have autonomy, ownership, and the chance to work across a variety of accounts with less of the “big agency” chaos.
- Develop and execute social media strategies for food & beverage, restaurant, and consumer product brands
- Create and manage monthly content calendars
- Write captions and produce content (shooting and editing)
- Research trends and propose creative content ideas
- Coordinate client shoots, liaise with clients, and ensure deliverables are met
- Manage influencer and talent outreach/coordination
- Handle casting and scheduling as needed
- Provide monthly reporting and performance insights
- Support with potential client outreach and other tasks if time permits
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management or strategy (agency or in-house)
- Strong creative skills: video, editing, copywriting, and design
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients and talent
- Experience in food & beverage or consumer products a plus
- Proficiency in Canva; Adobe Suite familiarity a bonus
- Salary: up to $70k annually (prorated for 6 months), based on experience
