Position Summary:
We’re hiring Catering Prep & Delivery Specialists — not just cooks. This role goes beyond the kitchen. You’ll be preparing meals, assisting with deliveries, supporting operations, and stepping in wherever needed to keep our fast-paced business running smoothly. We need dependable, high-functioning individuals who can think critically, work independently, and take pride in delivering a top-tier product and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen & Meal Preparation
- Prepare and cook meals according to daily production sheets, recipes, and CACFP nutrition guidelines
- Portion, package, and label meals accurately and neatly
- Support daily prep including chopping, portioning, assembling, and storing food properly
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment at all times
- Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing kitchen checklists
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are upheld, including temperature logs and storage practices
- Prepare and cook meals according to daily production sheets, recipes, and CACFP nutrition guidelines
- Delivery & Operational Support
- Assist with packing meals for delivery routes and loading into delivery vehicles
- Step in as a backup driver for local deliveries when needed
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time drop-off and excellent customer service
- Help with catering/event setup, equipment transportation, and cleanup
- Monitor inventory and report shortages, damages, or low stock
- Assist with packing meals for delivery routes and loading into delivery vehicles
- Team Collaboration & Initiative
- Work closely with kitchen staff, drivers, and leadership to meet daily deadlines
- Provide feedback to improve processes, kitchen flow, and service execution
- Adapt quickly to unexpected challenges or changes in workflow
- Be ready to “fill in the gap” wherever needed — whether that’s mopping, running a tray, or solving a client issue
- Work closely with kitchen staff, drivers, and leadership to meet daily deadlines
- Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in food service, catering, or meal prep preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean record (preferred, not required)
- High-functioning, dependable, and capable of juggling multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: ServSafe certification or leadership experience in small teams
- 1 years experience in food service, catering, or meal prep preferred
- Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay: $20/hour based on experience and skills
- Schedule: Part-time and full-time roles available
