Part-Time Key Holder

$14.00 per hour - $16.50 per hour PLUS TIPS

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Key Holder to oversee the daily operations of our small but bustling ice cream shop and cookie bakery in Concord, NH, on a part-time basis (20-30 hours per week). The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of all aspects of the business, provide exceptional customer service, make the schedule, manage inventory, and lead a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, product quality, and efficiency. Typical work days would be Mondays, Tuesdays, and one other day throughout the week/weekend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures, (bake cookies and make waffle cones daily)
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Will go to the grocery store as needed to maintain supplies.
• Oversee any staff working (typically 1, if any)
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and ensure they have a pleasant experience.
• Scoop ice cream with staff, and serve cookies to guests.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standards of service and hospitality.

Staff Supervision and Training:

• Foster a positive work environment and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

Quality Control:

• Ensure products meet our quality standards at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas and storage areas.
• Implement and enforce food safety standards and procedures.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Help owners coordinate promotional activities and events, as asked by owners.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the food service industry.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to life 25-50 pounds as needed
• Must be comfortable with repetitive physical tasks, including scooping ice cream—this role requires some arm strength and stamina (your biceps will get a great workout!).

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in hospitality or business management preferred.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training is a plus. Will be required to take training before starting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced environment with exposure to cold temperatures (ice cream freezer).
• Occasional exposure to heat from ovens (cookie baking).

Salary:

• Salary range: $14.00 per hour - $16.50 per hour PLUS TIPS
