Private Equity Firm in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking Restructuring Attorney!
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for all aspects of company
- Counsel colleagues on structure of debt components of bespoke transactions.
- Review, draft and negotiate transactional documentation with respect to, and provide legal and structuring advice concerning investments and loans, including the formation and structuring of investments, loan documents, term sheets, non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters and other related documentation.
- Provide legal support and guidance in connection with all asset management matters, including loan workouts, restructurings, forbearances, foreclosures and portfolio related litigation matters.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and member of a state bar
- 5 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department environment on the investment side
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent drafting and written communication skills
- Experience with credit documentation, restructurings, and Chapter 11 processes
- Familiarity with distressed or special situations investing, capital structures, and financial instruments
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to translate legal complexity into clear, actionable advice
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Reliable and collaborative team player
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Salary : $190,000 - $210,000
