Private Equity Firm in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking an Associate Counsel for a full-time position!
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and guidance on debt investments across the capital structure.
- Work closely with investment professionals to assess legal risk and develop practical solutions.
- Advise on legal and transactional aspects of the firm’s credit investments, financing arrangements, fund structures, and related initiatives.
- Review, draft and negotiate documents including credit agreements, confidentiality agreements, side letters, financing documents and investment-related contracts.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on fund formation, financing, regulatory and transactional matters.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and member of a state bar
- 5 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department environment on the finance side
- Strong background in finance, credit, private funds, structured finance, or related areas
- Experience with credit asset management, private credit, or special situations investing preferred
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory framework applicable to investment advisors and private funds
Salary : $190,000 - $210,000
