Partnering with the Founder/President and Board of Directors, the Executive Director will own strategy, fundraising, and organizational leadership, driving Social Capital Initiatives from its current reach to transformational global scale.

With a particular focus on women, girls, and their families, Social Capital Initiatives utilizes its proven Social Capital Credits (SoCCs) methodology, along with innovative programs and technologies, to empower people to realize their potential and become active stakeholders in their own success. Founded 26 years ago, Social Capital Initiatives now reaches more than 100,000 people every year across 25 communities in Asia, the U.S., Africa, and Europe.
Social Capital Initiatives now seeks to scale its projects and impact globally. To achieve this vision, Social Capital Initiatives is seeking a dynamic and visionary executive who can work with its Founder/President and the Board to scale the organization into its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Drive transformational growth in fundraising by cultivating and diversifying major donors, corporate partnerships, foundations, and government funding sources. Set and deliver ambitious, board approved fundraising goals.
- Strategy & Vision: Lead Social Capital Initiatives’ strategic refresh, setting transformational yet achievable goals with clear metrics for scaling its impact globally.
- Partnerships & External Engagement: Strengthen existing partnerships and establish new collaborations to expand the use of SoCCs, Cascades of Learning, and other Social Capital Initiatives programs, increasing visibility and learning across communities.
- Board & Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain constructive relationships with the Board of Directors, Board of Advisors, Junior Board, donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Organizational Leadership: Build, manage, and scale a global team aligned with Social Capital Initiatives’ mission and growth trajectory.
- Operational & Financial Stewardship: Partnering with the Founder/President, strengthen Social Capital Initiatives’ infrastructure, systems, and resources to support growth and long-term sustainability and success
Qualifications & Experience
- Fundraising expertise, with established connections in the philanthropic community and demonstrated success with major donors, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. Knowledge of the corporate donor ecosystem in India is an added plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with progressive growth in nonprofit or for profit organizations.
- Proven track record scaling an organization, expanding programs, and strengthening operations to achieve greater impact.
- Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors.
- Strong financial and operational management skills.
- Experience leading, empowering, and retaining diverse and global teams.
- Public speaking excellence and the ability to inspire and persuade across small and large audiences.
- Demonstrated commitment to international development and community empowerment; experience living or working in emerging markets is a plus.

Compensation
$120,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience and track record.
Location / Work Arrangement
The Executive Director will be based in or travel frequently to the New York metropolitan area, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement, including in-person workdays and meetings. The role requires occasional domestic and international travel.
