Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to inspire young athletes and foster a love for the game. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute dynamic soccer practices tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring all participants are engaged and challenged appropriately
- Lead team warm-ups, drills, scrimmages, and game strategies to develop technical skills, tactical understanding, and teamwork
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players
- Monitor player behavior during practices and games, applying effective behavior management techniques to maintain focus and positive conduct
- Coordinate with facility staff to ensure proper use of fields or gym spaces for training sessions and matches
- Stay current with youth sports coaching best practices by participating in ongoing training or certifications as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience playing or coaching soccer at a competitive club level
- Knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies suitable for youth development
- Experience in childcare or working with students of various ages to foster positive relationships
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to promote respectful conduct during activities
- Ability to demonstrate leadership while maintaining a lively, motivational coaching style
- USSF Grassroots or D license are strongly advantageous but not required; willingness to obtain similar certifications is preferred
