Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented dental Front Office Insurance/Treatment Coordinator and Scheduler to join our dental team. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with insurance coordination and treatment scheduling, ensuring a timely and seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment planning. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills to manage patient interactions, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate appointments efficiently. Your proactive approach will help optimize clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient service in a friendly environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Verify insurance coverage, pre-authorizations, and claim management.
- Review patient documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Schedule appointments accurately using Eaglesoft scheduling software; manage calendar updates and appointment confirmations
- Collect payments, process medical billing, and perform collections for outstanding balances.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring proper documentation review and data entry in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering multi-line phone systems professionally, managing intake procedures, and addressing patient inquiries promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical or dental office administration with strong familiarity of clinic workflows and front desk operations
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft is highly preferred
- Proficiency in dental coding, billing processes, insurance verification, and documentation review
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute is advantageous
- Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail in managing appointments and medical records
- Previous clinic or hospital experience with familiarity in dental terminology or health information management is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage schedule for general dentist, hygienists, and dental specialists
- Must be goal oriented with the ability to manage tasks in a timely fashion and collaborate with team members
- Pay to be determined
- Must be available a couple of Saturdays a month as well.
