Quality Assurance Engineer with comprehensive knowledge of aerospace and DoD business area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Provides Develops and implements quality protocols and is accountable for compliance with all government, customer, regulatory and company requirements. Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction. Delivers mission success and excellence throughout the integrated product lifecycle resulting in defect-free work products and delighted customers.

Job Description:
Quality Assurance Engineer with comprehensive knowledge of aerospace and DoD business area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Essential Functions:
- Establishes robust quality evaluation and control systems for assembly, integration and test of complex electronic & mechanical assemblies
- Leads support activities across programs ranging from hardware inspections, evaluation of incoming material, electrical test and inspection of build of assemblies
- Expert with FRB/MRB activities, overseeing issue closure and strategic cross-company implementation of systemic preventive corrective actions
- Expert RCCA practitioner of problem-solving methodologies
- Strong performance history with generating professional presentations, technical reports and in-depth case studies
- Uses metrics to identify signals and initiate tactical course corrections and manages key performance areas (KPIs) to meet established goals
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees related to all quality processes
- Initiates complex projects and leads continuous improvement activities including driving ZDP execution in accordance with business strategy
- Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., DCMA, prime customers, key vendors, etc.) when necessary
- Supports team efforts to achieve efficient resolution of issues without compromise to quality.
- Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area.
- May have in-depth knowledge of project management.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- Security Clearance required upon hire: Ability to Obtain
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Expert with Oracle AGILE system
- Six Sigma Blackbelt certified
- Expertise with IPC standards for hi-performance soldering, coating, connector assembly
- Expert understanding of AS9100
- Microsoft Office proficiency
