Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Substance Use Disorder treatment team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient health and well-being through direct care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patient health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations, providing immediate care when necessary.
- Perform airway management and other critical nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare and clinical teams.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in our EMR - Alleva.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Substance Use Disorder treatment
- Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare and clinical team members.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- A valid LPN license is required, along with any necessary certifications related to emergency medicine or specialized nursing practices.
