What are the responsibilities and job description for the RoadRunner Express Clerk position at Soboba?
SUMMARY
The Clerk/Deli Clerk position is responsible for providing great customer service as well as fresh food preparation and display. The Clerk/Del Clerk is responsible for ringing customer sales, receiving payments, and maintaining food safety regulations.
This is a part time position. Scheduled hours per week average 20-30 hours a week based on business needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:
- Operates the Point-of-Sale system providing customer service at the register.
- Create and prepare food items according to recipes provided.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation of kitchen area, tools & surfaces
- Monitors food displays and re-stocks fresh food merchandise as needed.
- Meets customer service needs at the register and deli.
- Supports management team in achieving store goals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous register operating experience preferred
- Previous food handling experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Food Handler’s Card or the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.
SKILLS
- Ability to follow recipes and directions
- Can complete assigned tasks
- Enjoys working in a customer service role and has a positive demeanor towards customers and co-workers

- Ability to lift to 45 pounds unassisted.
