Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Table Games Floor Person, responsible for conducting the assigned game per the department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Dealers are classified by the games that they are certified to deal from the entry level of Level 1 through the highest classification of Level 4. Dealers must earn and maintain certification in each level before moving on to the next highest level as follows: Level 1- Blackjack; Level 2- Carnival/Specialty Games (a.k.a. all table games offered at SECR excluding Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Craps); Level -3 Roulette; Level 4- Craps.

Position Summary

Dealers are classified by the games that they are certified to deal from the entry level of Level 1 through the highest classification of Level 4. Dealers must earn and maintain certification in each level before moving on to the next highest level as follows: Level 1- Blackjack; Level 2- Carnival/Specialty Games (a.k.a. all table games offered at SECR excluding Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Craps); Level -3 Roulette; Level 4- Craps.
Dealers are classified by the games they are certified to deal in four levels.
- Level 1 Dealers must be certified, at a minimum, to deal the games of Blackjack and Pitch Blackjack. As a condition of continued employment, Level 1 Dealers are required to become certified to deal all Carnival Games currently offered at SECR on or before their 1st year anniversary of becoming a Dealer. Carnival Games are defined as any table game excluding the core games of Blackjack, Pitch Blackjack, Roulette, Poker & Craps.
- Level 2 Dealers must be certified, at a minimum, to deal the games of Blackjack, Pitch Blackjack and Carnival Games by their 1st year anniversary of becoming a Dealer. Level 3 Dealers must be certified, at a minimum, to deal the games of Blackjack, Pitch Blackjack, Carnival Games, and Roulette.
- Level 4 Dealers must be certified, at a minimum, to deal all games offered at Soaring Eagle Gaming which includes Craps.
- Conduct games per established SOP ensuring the highest level of game protection and that all bets are secured and paid accurately.
- Exchange paper currency for playing chips.
- Deal all positions of the game (i.e. stick and base for craps).
- Run a smooth and orderly game.
- Observe and properly maintain the table games bankroll during assigned shift.
- Remain attentive to players and alert Floor Person to any suspicious action.
- Greet, talk and converse with guests to help them have an enjoyable experience.
- Ensure all bets on tables conform to the prescribed table limits.
- Drop currency and fill, credit, and inventory slips in appropriate drop area.
- Sign all pit paperwork including fill, credit, and inventory slips in a legible manner.
- Ensure that gaming equipment is suitable for use on a live game and alert Floor Person if it is not.
- Assist inventorying table bankroll when asked by Floor Person or Shift Manager.
- Pass on all pertinent information regarding table to other dealers when being relieved.
- Start, pause, and end player ratings in addition to entering cash and moving players when dealing on games that possess a dealer workstation for the Player Rating System.
- Promote a fun, energetic welcoming atmosphere both on and off of assigned game.
- Assist guests with questions regarding table games or other subjects pertaining to SECR.
- Conduct oneself per the established departmental and SECR policies and procedures.
- Ensure that tips are properly paid, secured, reported, and accounted for as defined by departmental SOP.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority. Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Contact with guests at the casino and resort to provide exceptional guest service both on and off their assigned tables.
- Contact with the Floor Person assigned to supervise their section as to work related needs/issues.
- Contact with Shift Managers to inform them of issues and to receive updates regarding changes to policies and procedures.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certification from the SECR Table Games Department for each game associate deals.
- Applicants that do not possess these certifications but have prior casino dealing experience may earn their certification by successfully passing the written and table testing requirements for the required games.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations and customer service.
- Knowledge of card games dealing and skill in dealing table games.
- Skills in mathematics to include the ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, commissions, ratios, odds and percentages.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with guests.
- Ability to control the pace of the game.
- Ability to perform duties and deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
- May encounter and deal with intoxicated and/or belligerent guests.
