Under the supervision of the Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor, perform cleaning duties for the casino, slot palace, and other internal outlets that include, but are not limited to: gaming tables, slots, back of house, offices, and all other decorative formations whereby results are achieved in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards established by the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, motorized vacuums, electric vacuums, upholstery cleaners, pressure washing equipment and sweep and mop hard floor surfaces. Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and the preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Wash or dust walls, pillars, vents, and other washable areas on walls.
• Clean and extract spills on the carpet; clean biohazards (vomit, blood, and bodily fluids) as necessary.
• Pick up paper and other trash from the floor, between customers and machines, and other areas as needed.
• Empty and clean ashtrays as needed.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms.
• Clean woodwork, brass, and stainless steel surfaces; occasional stripping, waxing, and/or sealing of hard floor surfaces.
• Under physical demands familiarize yourself with the day`s activities and special events at the beginning of the shift.
• Abide by all attendance policies and procedures set forth.
• Attend all training sessions related to the position as required by management.
• Report any possible programs, unusual circumstances, or accidents involving guests, team members, or company assets immediately.
• Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

• Contact with guests when providing service in main areas and will provide excellent service and direct them to where they are going or where their needs can be met.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
  
  

License, Certification, Or Special Requirements

• Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety practices.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning equipment.
• Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
• Ability to comprehend and consistently follow oral and written directions regarding policies, procedures, Safety Data Sheets, and the use of supplies and equipment.
• Ability to work a varied schedule.
• Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to deal with and provide a positive experience to the casino`s guests and fellow team members.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with cleaning duties.
• Frequent standing and walking throughout the Casino and Resort.
• Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
• Will be required to lift 34-gallon trash bags from containers and transfer to compactor/dumpster area; occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds.
  
  

Work Environment

• Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise.
• Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of conditions including hot/cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of equipment and materials.
• Exposure to various cleaning agents.
• Situations, where safety equipment is needed, occur.
• Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
