- Assist with administration and communication logistics before, during, and after camp
- Support registration process to include applications, consent tracking and enrollment notifications
- Support counselor recruitment, interviews, international job fairs and hiring process
- Support director in staff training and development
- Support staff with team building, conflict resolution, evaluations and feedback
- Help develop training workshops and/or update existing training and schedule
- Supervise and guide staff
- Provide direct supervision to Lead Summer Camp Counselors and indirect supervision to Cabin Leaders and Camp Counselors
- Conduct regular check-ins, provide coaching, and deliver performance feedback to ensure quality of camper care and program delivery
- Develop and guide inclusive program activities
- Work with Director to develop and create lesson plans for daily program activities using the camp's values and weekly themes. Activities include but are not limited to music/drama, arts & crafts, nature, outdoors, sports, cooking, etc.
- Provide direction and support to staff responsible for leading activities, and lead/co-lead as needed
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff
- Follow and uphold all safety and security rules and procedures
- Adhere to and assure compliance of all Agency and Camp Baker policies and procedures related to safety, discrimination/harassment, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Agency's Human Rights plan
- High school graduate; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Experience working in summer camps or similar outdoor education settings
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience and leading groups
- Must possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Must possess valid driver's license and be willing to drive company vehicles up to 15 passengers
