Master Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Mechanic
Atlanta, GA
40-75 Weekly Hours
Pay Range $30-$37.50/Hr Overtime over forty hours
We were established in 2024 and are seeking Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Mechanics to join our journey providing contractors with efficient and reliable mobile service solutions. As a Mobile Service Truck/Trailer Mechanic, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of these essential trailers. Qualifications/Skills:
· Minimum five years’ experience as a trailer mechanic.
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in heavy fleet mechanics is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of trailer systems, components, and maintenance practices.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
· Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approach to work.
· Welding experience is required.
· Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing vehicle maintenance.
· Effective communications skills, both verbal and written. The ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
· Time management and organizational skills to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as the job demands.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
· Continuous learning and adaptability to stay current with the industry advancements and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using test instruments.
· Utilize basic hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, welding equipment and jacks for repairs.
· Document work performed, parts used and observations on Service Orders via the company-issued device.
· Maintain high productivity and strive to work within standard repair time.
· Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck, conducting periodic reconciliations.
· Communicate with management and support team via email or phone for repair approvals, purchase order numbers and Service Order discussions.
· Participate in and complete all company required safety training sessions.
· Establish and nurture positive working relationships with assigned customers and vendors demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
· Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic while working in varying weather conditions and environments.
· Embrace a continuous learning mindset and seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
· Maintain the Company’s service truck, conducting safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.
