Job Summary
Soaked Studio is a brand-new boutique fitness studio opening Fall 2026 in West Orange, NJ, offering infrared heated and non-heated mat-based group fitness classes in an intimate, 15-mat space. We're building our founding instructor team now and looking for certified, energetic instructors to lead small-group classes in a beautifully designed, brand-new studio. Pay is $50/hour, which includes class setup and post-class cleanup time not just teaching time. Flexible scheduling across 7 daily class slots, Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Arrive early to set up the studio space, mats, and any equipment needed before each class
- Check members in for class and confirm attendance against bookings
- Lead 45-minute group mat classes (heated infrared and non-heated formats) for up to 15 participants
- Guide members through movement, form correction, and pacing appropriate to class level
- Create an energizing, welcoming atmosphere for members at every experience level
- Clean and reset the studio after each class for the next session (mats, props, floor, general tidiness)
- Communicate professionally with studio management regarding scheduling, availability, and any member concerns
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled classes — pay covers full setup-through-cleanup time, not just teaching
Requirements
- Certified in group fitness, Pilates, or mat-based movement (Balanced Body, ACE, NASM, or equivalent)
- Comfortable teaching in a heated room environment
- Reliable, punctual, and genuinely energized by small-group coaching
- Prior class-teaching experience preferred but not required open to strong new grads
- CPR/AED certification preferred
