Now Hiring: On-Call Residential Assistant - High View, West Virginia
We're looking for a compassionate and dependable On-Call Residential Assistant to join our team in High View, WV. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to begin a meaningful career with one of the area's most respected organizations.

Position Description: Provides monitoring and oversight of residential/transitional housing facilities and residents.
Required: HS Degree/GED; 1-3 yrs experience in social services; experience providing services in addictions or mental health treatment.
Schedule: Fluctuating schedule, to include evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Shifts Needed: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am, or 12:00 am - 8:00 am.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and mental health issues Conflict resolution skills.
- Flexibility with the ability to multi-task despite competing priorities.
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences
- Demonstrates professionalism and maintains confidentiality while working with sensitive issues
- Problem-solving skills Relationship building skills Ability to set professional boundaries.
- Expected Contributions:
- Reports crisis situations, emergencies, and maintenance issues to an on-call person.
- Appropriate handling of emergencies and/or de-escalating crisis situations as they arise
- Available to residents during the assigned shift for support as needed.
- Facilitates/conducts designated group sessions which are scheduled during shift.
- Monitors residents' compliance with rules and regulations and gives appropriate consequences.
- Responsible for overseeing client self-medication administration.
- Maintains resident confidentiality.
- Receives report at the start of shift and gives a report at end of shift.
- Transports residents in a SOME vehicle to and from AA/NA meetings and supervises residents while away from the facility-transports clients to Washington DC for graduation.
- All documentation is done accurately and completely on a daily basis.
- Maintain up-to-date first aid & CPR certifications
