Purpose of the Position
Assist in managing project activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications. The Assistant Project Manager supports the project management team by conducting takeoffs, preparing bid submittals and SOQs, and performing a variety of supporting tasks. The goal for this position is to transition to an Estimator/Project Manager who bids and estimates independently.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Occasional utilization of hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility vest, steel toed footwear, half-face respirator.

Travel: 10%
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a similar field.
Preferred Skill Set: Basic knowledge of project management principles and practices. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. - Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities to ensure objectives are met. Collaborate with project managers to align project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and team members. Facilitate regular communication to update progress and address concerns.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and meeting minutes. Track and report project metrics to ensure adherence to objectives.
- Perform occasional site inspections to test for ACM, lead, mold, etc.
- Monitor project expenses to ensure budget compliance. Assist in forecasting and resolving financial variances.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct inspections and collaborate with the team to address deficiencies.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project management team. Track and resolve project issues as they arise.
- Support the enforcement of company safety policies and procedures on project sites. Ensure safety protocols are adhered to by all team members.
- Provide support to project team members, ensuring access to necessary tools, resources, and guidance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
