What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (full time) position at Snuggles Pediatric Medical Care?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. The RN will provide direct nursing care to children with complex medical needs, assist with daily health monitoring, administer medications and treatments, and ensure each child’s individualized care plan is followed.
Experience in pediatrics or caring for medically fragile children is highly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable working in a team environment that values collaboration, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to children with complex medical needs in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
- Monitor and document each child’s health status, including vital signs, intake/output, and response to treatment.
- Administer medications, feedings (including G-tube), and treatments accurately and safely.
- Observe for changes in condition and communicate promptly with physicians, therapists, and parents.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with PPEC and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other team members—including LPNs, therapists, and caregivers—to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment for all children.
- Provide education and support to families as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Florida.
- CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Pediatric experience preferred; PPEC, home health, or pediatric acute care experience preferred.
- Experience with medically fragile children, including tracheostomy and G-tube care, or willingness to be trained.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with children.
