Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in a daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored for young children.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in infants care or caregiving roles is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
