Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports all day-to-day HR functions for a manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws while delivering excellent service to employees and management. This role partners with operations to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, training, and HR administration in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records.
Assist with payroll preparation, attendance, timekeeping, and employee changes.
Administer new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
Support employee relations by addressing questions, resolving workplace concerns, and ensuring policy compliance.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Process employment documentation including new hires, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Coordinate training programs and maintain employee training records.
Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee benefit questions.
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.
Partner with staffing agencies to support workforce needs.
Assist with audits, safety initiatives, and special HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Knowledge of employment law, payroll practices, and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be preferred depending on location.

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
