Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in assembling menu items with precision and consistency, following established recipes and standards
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poachers, braising pots, and food production machinery
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Support high-volume food production by managing multiple tasks such as food handling, meal preparation, and portioning
- Assist with menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and preparing components for upcoming service periods
- Handle dishwashing duties diligently to ensure all cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools are sanitized and ready for use
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery while adhering to food safety management protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment, particularly in restaurant or catering settings, is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary skills
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume production settings
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in recipe adherence are essential for maintaining quality standards
- Background in fine dining or high-volume food industry environments will be advantageous
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a fast-paced work rhythm
