Snow Road First Baptist church in Semmes Alabama is looking to hire a Day Care Assistant Director. Previous Day care management experience helpful. Looking for a mature, intelligent, caring person, who loves working with the children, and help the Director run the Daycare.
Hours are somewhat flexible usually Monday thru Friday 6am till 2 pm, or 12 noon to 6 pm. However, that can be worked out. Good references and background check will be expected. Contact church office at or Douglas Kaul via indeed.
Job Overview
As a Daycare Assistant Director, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. You will support the Daycare Director in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff. Your leadership will help guide our team in providing exceptional care and education to children from infancy through preschool age.
What you'll do
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
- Collaborate with the Daycare Director to implement educational programs that promote childhood development and early learning.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and effective teaching strategies.
- Engage with parents and families to build strong relationships and communicate their child's progress and needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols and emergency procedures.
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Foster a culture of teamwork among staff while encouraging professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records related to student attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Experience in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior among young learners is crucial.
- First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus.
- Previous roles involving caregiving, nannying, or babysitting will be considered valuable experience.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for engaging effectively with parents, staff, and children alike.
