About Snow Grow LLC

Snow Grow LLC is a locally owned medical cannabis dispensary serving the Eastport community. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable, high-quality medical cannabis in a welcoming, educational environment where patients feel respected and supported.

Although we are a cannabis dispensary, this position is most comparable to a Retail Pharmacy Technician. Accuracy, professionalism, patient care, and regulatory compliance are the foundation of everything we do.

We're a small, close-knit team where every employee makes a meaningful impact. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, enjoys staying busy, notices what needs to be done without being asked, and genuinely enjoys helping others.

Hiring Timeline

We are currently accepting applications.

Interviews are planned for August.

The projected start date will be as early as August, depending on licensing approval timing and business needs.

Schedule

• Approximately 13–24 hours per week
• Two consecutive shifts per week
• 9:50 AM – approximately 6:00 PM

What This Job Is Really Like

This is not a position where you'll spend the day simply talking about cannabis.

Much like a pharmacy technician, you'll balance patient care with medication preparation, inventory management, compliance, and maintaining an organized workspace.

Our culture is relaxed and supportive, but the work itself is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and requires staying productive throughout the shift.

Success in this role requires the ability to:

• Stay organized while frequently switching between tasks
• Maintain accuracy, even during busy periods
• Work independently without waiting to be told what to do
• Learn and consistently follow detailed procedures
• Take pride in keeping inventory accurate and the store ready for patients
• Remain calm, professional, and patient-focused under pressure

There is always meaningful work to be done, and team members are expected to actively look for the next task once they complete the current one.

Physical & Technical Requirements

This is an active position that requires:

• Standing and walking for most of the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, and moving inventory
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements (packing flower, twisting pre-rolls, labeling)
• Accurate use of digital scales and measurement tools
• Following strict packaging and labeling procedures
• Keeping pace with continual inventory movement throughout the day

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and verify certifications and identification in accordance with Maine OCP regulations
• Educate patients on cannabis products, dosing, terpenes, strains, and safe consumption
• Operate the POS system while maintaining strict cash-handling accuracy
• Package and label medical cannabis products according to company procedures
• Maintain compliance with Maine Office of Cannabis Policy regulations and Snow Grow Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Restock products and keep displays organized
• Maintain a clean, organized, patient-ready dispensary
• Assist with general daily operations as needed

Required Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Eligible to pass state and federal background checks
• Eligible to obtain a Maine OCP Assistant License
• Reliable with excellent attendance
• Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Medical cannabis knowledge
• Customer service experience
• Pharmacy, healthcare, or medical office experience
• Retail experience
• Cash handling experience
• Inventory management experience

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of these requirements and approval for a Maine OCP Assistant License.

Maine OCP Assistant License Requirement

All Medical Cannabis Technicians must hold an active Maine Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) Assistant License.

Licensing approval typically takes approximately two weeks after application submission.

Applicants who already hold an active OCP Assistant License may have an advantage during the hiring process due to faster onboarding.
