EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
- Two or more years of occupational experience within the welding industry.
- Teaching experience in secondary education, post-secondary education, or workforce training preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Commitment to workforce development and student success.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four to six years of professional welding industry experience.
- AWS CWI and/or CWE certifications.
- Experience with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.
- Curriculum development experience.
- Experience with multiple instructional delivery methods including face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning.
- Demonstrated leadership within welding education or workforce development.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in classroom and welding laboratory environments. Faculty may stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and supervise laboratory instruction for extended periods.
- Exposure to welding equipment, machinery, dust, fumes, and shop environments is expected. Safe operation of welding equipment and enforcement of OSHA safety standards is required.
