What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Crew Member position at Snow Canyon Construction?
Job Description:
Overview: A construction laborer is responsible to work alongside the foreman and operators as eyes on the ground. They assist in potholing and locating underground utilities, removing debris from holes, setting utility accesses to grade, pouring concrete, lubing and maintaining equipment.
Company Description:
Snow Canyon Construction does installation of manhole and water valves collars in new subdivision and on existing roads construction projects.
We also pour site concrete, retaining walls, and concrete structures.
A standard day begins at 7 am goes to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We are small but growing and have a loyal list of customers who rely on us to help them deliver their projects on time. Since we are a small contractor, we get the chance to get to know each other and work together. You will feel appreciated for your contributions individually.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers license and ability to get to and from work independently
- Willing to work hard and safely around other subs, equipment, and crew members
- Willing to learn from other crew members and leaders
- Able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work outside in the heat and cold
- Experience in construction a plus but not required
- Ability to listen and learn and desire to try new things
- Opportunity to contribute to a team and learn from leaders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
