American Sign Language Interpreter [Temporary for 2026-27 School Year]

Wage: $38.12 - $41.00 per hour (2025-26 PSE Salary Schedule *2026-27 TBD)

This position is to serve as an American Sign Language Interpreter in assignments as determined by building necessary to support deaf or hard of hearing students. Please see attached job description for more information.

Qualifications Required

  • Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher and EIPA written test with passing score; or National Interpreter Certification from the Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID) and EIPA written test with passing score; or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR/AED card or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Work Calendar: 2026-27 PSE SCHOOL DAYS M-F

Benefit Eligibility

  • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
  • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Paid Holidays: This position is eligible for up to 13 paid holidays per year. The number of holidays depends on employee's start and end dates.
  • Paid Time Off: Employees working 12 months per year earn 12 days of paid vacation per school year. Employees working 237 - 260 days per school year earn 12 days of sick leave. Up to 3 days of personal leave may be granted each school year. Vacation, sick leave, and personal leave are based on scheduled hours and position start date.
  • Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
