JOB TITLE: Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Projects Management Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing assigned hospital-wide projects and service contract implementations. This position plays a critical role in facilitating organization improvement projects, new equipment installations, technology rollouts, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Working in a rural hospital environment, the coordinator applies strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with hospital standards, compliance requirements, and patient care priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate development of detailed project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with department leaders and contractors.
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to minimize operational disruption during project implementation.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Obsess Over Excellence: We have high standards and seek continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate project meetings, document progress, and maintain accurate status reports for leadership review.
  • Identify project risks and apply critical thinking to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with hospital and state requirements.

  • Evaluate current project related processes to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Share insights you gather from different perspectives.
  • Bring diverse skill sets together for problem-solving sessions.
  • Use data-driven analysis and critical thinking to make informed decisions about resource allocation and workflow optimization.
  • Emphasize learning outcomes over perfection
  • Lead post-project reviews to assess lessons learned and apply improvements to future initiatives.

Deepen Connections: We build strong relationships with our patients, their families and partners in the communities we serve.

  • Act as a bridge between groups who normally don’t talk.
  • Create spaces (meetings, channels, informal chats) where people can contribute ideas, not just give status updates.
  • Prepare regular project and logistics performance reports for hospital leadership.
