Creative Operations Manager – Role Overview
We’re hiring a Creative Operations Manager to own our end-to-end creative production workflow. You’ll centralize requests, manage and expand our network of contract designers, streamline how work moves through the company, and ensure everything is delivered on time and on brand. This role removes operational load from leadership and our Creative Director so they can focus on strategy, campaigns, and high-impact creative work.
- Run the full lifecycle of assigned creative project from request to delivery
- Maintain a clear intake process with structured briefs and timelines
- Prioritize requests based on urgency, impact, and resources
- Track progress across all projects and proactively communicate updates
- Keep deadlines on track and flag bottlenecks early
- Manage the full roster of contract designers, their availability, strengths, and workloads
- Assign projects based on designer skill fit, bandwidth, and priority needs
- Deliver precise briefs, references, and expectations to ensure high-quality work
- Identify gaps in the designer network and recruit new freelancers
- Run sourcing, screening, and trial projects to evaluate talent
- Onboard new designers with brand guidelines, workflows, tools, and expectations
- Build and maintain a diverse, scalable, high-quality designer network
- Review all deliverables for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment
- Provide clear, actionable creative feedback
- Manage revision cycles efficiently
- Step in with hands-on design support when needed
- Enforce brand standards across packaging, campaigns, ads, and product visuals
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, templates, and reference files
- Ensure consistent use of assets across all designers and projects
- Build and refine systems that streamline creative production
- Improve workflows as creative volume and complexity grow
- Track contractor hours and support budgeting and invoicing
- Continually identify and remove operational friction
- Salary: $80,000 annual
