Carries out District policies and programs regarding electric and magnetic fields, site assessments, pollution prevention, bird injury prevention and response, erosion and sediment control and the Washington State Environmental Policy Act.

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Environmental Specialist I to join our team and grow your environmental compliance skills under the guidance of senior environmental professionals.
In this role, you will support the Environmental Affairs team in day-to-day compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits. Working closely with senior staff, you will assist with coordinating environmental activities, gathering and organizing information, and helping implement established environmental programs. You will contribute to sustainability and environmental health efforts through data collection, documentation, and field/office support. You will also participate in PUD's spill response program, including rotating on-call after-hours response duties with four other team members, with training and support provided.
