Job Title: Program Director
Location: Sultan
Reports To: Unit Director
Schedule: Schedule varies, Monday - Friday 8-Hour Shift between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Weekends & late evenings as needed.
Job Summary: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) is a non-profit
organization providing young people ages five (5) to eighteen (18) with a safe and positive place
to spend their time before and after school and during the summer. Clubs are strategically
located in neighborhoods and are accessible to all kids.

Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Program Director plans, organizes, supervises and
coordinates programs and activities that enhance the personal growth and development of club
members. The Program Director works to maintain a safe, fun, and quality environment while
implementing BGCSC Cultural DNA in all activities and daily tasks. The Program Director
supports Youth Development Professional staff in their daily tasks. They will work with youth and
create an environment that is safe and fun while helping members build confidence and skills.
On occasion, the Program Director will assist the Unit Director in supervising Youth
Development Professionals and other daily tasks when needed.
Job Duties:
● Plan and integrate activities that give all youth a sense of belonging
● Manages all program supplies and equipment
● Creates a program schedule and organizes daily activities for club members
● Involved in the daily planning and implementation of the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Snohomish Counties mission to promote a safe, inclusive, fun, and educational
environment
● Establishes a program setting that ensures the health and safety of members
● Contributes to the creation of the overall club climate for youth development
● Plans programs and activities consistent with the organization's youth development
mission
● Provides behavioral guidance to members using trauma-informed care practices
● Promotes and markets programs to members to increase membership and daily
attendance
● Manages Formula for Impact process to ensure priority outcomes: academic success,
good character, citizenship, and healthy lifestyle.
● Assist Unit Director in BGCSC and BGA documentation including: My Club Hub,
National Youth Outcomes Initiative, and grant tracking
● Assists Unit Director or Childcare Director in meeting WA State childcare licensing
requirements
● Assists in management of YDPs when directed, supporting their workplace success
● Engages in physical activities such as sports, S.T.E.M, and arts and crafts
● Supervises the children independently in regulation of WA state law and Boys and Girls
Club of America standard
● Prepares snacks for children using various kitchen tools while practicing food safety
● Work with a wide variety of youth
● Ensure youth are safe and engaged in activities, this includes all safety requirements for
Boys and Girls Club such as the 10 BGCSC Policies for Protection of the Youth
● Create positive and supportive relationship with youth
● Actively practice and participate BGCSC Cultural DNA guidelines while supporting an
environment that promotes Cultural DNA in all club staff
● Maintains organization and cleanliness of club, including but not limited to, all activity
spaces, washing dishes, taking out trash, and organization of children’s belongings
● Ability to drive club van and transport club kids when needed
● Support Youth Development Professionals in daily tasks and job duties
● Reliable attendance so scheduling is accurate and in compliance with child-to-staff ratios
in regards to WA State law and BGA standards
● Maintain proper upkeep of equipment and supplies
● Acts as Unit Director’s delegate as required
Job Qualifications:
● Twenty-three (23) years of age or older with a clean record for insurance purposes
● Ability to remain positive and organized in a fast-paced work environment
● Ability to incorporate organizational values fun, respect, integrity, community, and
acceptance into all practices
● Prior experience working with youth or a background in early childhood education
● Prior experience planning activities for youth
● Prior experience creating schedules
● Flexibility to work different hours based on seasonal operational needs
● Ability to pass a drug test upon hire
● Ability to pass a background check in accordance with BGCSC standards upon hire
● Ability to walk or stand constantly with or without reasonable accommodation
● Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
● Ability to use fine motor movements with or without reasonable accommodation
● Associates Degree from an accredited College or University
