About the Client
Our client is a growing e-commerce/online retail company with a small and collaborative team of approximately 25–30 employees. The company sells products online and is currently enhancing and streamlining its accounting operations through NetSuite implementation and automation.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with 3–5 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day financial operations. This position requires someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and willing to assist with both accounting processes and initial data entry efforts to help organize and catch up on pending work.
The ideal candidate will have experience with financial systems, preferably NetSuite, and exposure to Bill.com workflows and automation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable activities and day-to-day accounting operations
- Perform data entry and process backlog transactions accurately
- Support invoice processing and payment workflows
- Work with financial systems, preferably NetSuite
- Assist with migration and transition of automated workflows from Bill.com into NetSuite
- Configure and establish rules for automated imports, including credit card transaction integrations
- Reconcile transactions and ensure data accuracy within accounting systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency and financial processes
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong experience in Accounts Payable processes
- Experience with financial software packages; NetSuite preferred
- Knowledge of Bill.com functionality and workflow processes
- Understanding of accounting automation and data imports
- Comfortable working in a small-team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be willing to work onsite in Hackensack, NJ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite implementation or optimization
- Experience configuring import rules and automated accounting workflows
- Background in e-commerce or online retail environments is a plus
