We are seeking a skilled Marine Construction Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform marine construction tasks such as installing and repairing docks, piers, bulkheads, and other marine structures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete projects efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Conduct maintenance on equipment including vehicles, cranes, and rigging gear to ensure operational safety.
- Execute heavy lifting operations safely using rigging techniques and heavy machinery.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Solder electrical connections and perform electrical troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols related to welding, sheet metal work, and use of heavy machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or stakeholders.
- Assist in the training of new team members or interns in various technical skills related to marine construction.
Skills
- Service technician experience with electrical systems and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Military background or experience is a plus for discipline and safety awareness.
- Electrical experience including soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Proficiency in rigging techniques for lifting heavy loads safely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, sheet metal work, and vehicle maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including welding certifications), calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments.
- Experience with heavy lifting operations using cranes or other lifting devices.
- Customer service skills for effective communication with clients or project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various equipment used in marine environments. This position requires a dedicated professional with technical expertise in marine construction processes combined with strong safety practices and customer-focused communication skills.
