Duties

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery routes
• Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks
• Follow established routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for safety and compliance
• Deliver packages promptly to residential and commercial customers, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude
• Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document deliveries accurately using mobile devices or digital tools
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, weight handling, and route completion

Skills

• Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
• Familiarity with commercial driving licenses (CDL) or personal vehicle delivery experience preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles such as box trucks or vans confidently
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, weight handling in the workplace, and proper use of material handling equipment like pallet jacks
• Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures during route driving
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Comfort using mobile devices for navigation, delivery documentation, and route updates
