Duties

• Greet customers warmly and identify their cycling needs through engaging conversations
• Provide detailed product demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits of various bicycles and accessories
• Assist customers with retail sales transactions, including cash register operations, cash handling, and balancing cash drawers
• Maintain accurate stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and organizing bicycle inventory
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about bicycle maintenance, safety features, and accessories
• Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely
• Support retail store operations by managing POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently and accurately processing transactions
• Organize and display new product and bicycles.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, preferably within bicycle shops or related industries such as grocery stores or sporting goods stores.
• Must have an interest in learning the ins and outs of bicycles.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash drawer handling
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory management techniques
• Experience in customer service roles that involve upselling and product demos
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
• Excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or online inquiries
