SNIDER & DRACHLIS, PLLC handles real estate and business transactions and litigation.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to manage our Real Estate Transactions group in Garden City NY. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, lender-side representation, and banking-related matters.
Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, though fluency is not required.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited for someone who can operate independently and manage a high volume of transactions efficiently, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage closing documents for residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Coordinate and schedule closings with lenders, borrowers, title companies, and attorneys
- Draft and review loan documents, closing statements, and escrow agreements
- Conduct title and lien review; assist in clearing title issues
- Communicate with clients regarding transaction details and closing procedures
- Assist Spanish-speaking clients when applicable
- Notarize documents in accordance with New York State requirements
- Track deadlines and ensure timely progression of all files
- Handle post-closing matters, including document recording and file completion
- Assist with front desk coverage, including answering phones and greeting clients as needed
- Provide general administrative support, including occasional local errands and office-related tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate and/or banking law
- Active New York State Notary Public commission (required)
- Strong understanding of real estate closings and lender-side transactions
- Experience reviewing title reports, payoff letters, and closing disclosures
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Professional demeanor and willingness to assist with both legal and administrative functions
