Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other litigation materials
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients at mediations and trial
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients
- Manage case files and ensure timely progression of matters
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to drive case outcomes
- Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar admission (required)
- 5 years of recent insurance defense experience
- Strong litigation skills, including depositions and court appearances
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Track record of meeting billable hour requirements
