What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accounting Supervisor position at SNI Financial?
Location: Deerfield, IL | Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
SNI Financial is partnered with a global & publicly traded company that is hiring a Cost Accounting Supervisor. This individual will be leading a small team along with cost accounting initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Review product cost analysis, costing, and accruals involved in the monthly cost package
- Review journal entries, balance sheets, and inventory related reconciliations
- Update material standards and ensure compliance with internal controls including SOX
- Review the preparation of various reports involving inventory, finished goods, and expenses
- Review analysis of freight expenses
- Support special projects and coordinate audits
- Identify and enhance processes within the department
- Lead a small team of accountants by providing mentorship, coaching, and oversight
- Develop strong relationships with other accounting & finance departments to enhance decision making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Previous cost accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Understanding of inventory related accounting
