SNI Companies is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Project Manager to play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams, aligning engineering development with production objectives, and ensuring that mission-critical products are successfully delivered to our defense and aerospace customers. This role plays a pivotal role at the intersection of multiple teams, guiding projects from concept through production while coordinating technical teams, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring products meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards. Serving as a true jack-of-all-trades, the PM balances technical decision making with cross functional coordination and delivery planning, often stepping in to bridge gaps and help keep projects on track when timelines begin to slip.

Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across organization; develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and material procurement; Monitor project performance and maintain on-time delivery commitments
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers regarding project status, and facilitate communication across teams to resolve technical or operational roadblocks
- Track and report project performance metrics to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- 5 years of project management experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or electronics environments
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred
- Experience managing technical projects involving electronics or hardware development
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, RoHS)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with power electronics, PCB design, or embedded hardware systems
- Familiarity with hardware development life cycles and engineering change processes
- Experience coordinating prototype builds, testing, and product qualification
- Working knowledge of engineering design tools such as Altium, SolidWorks, or similar CAD platforms
Salary : $100,000 - $103,000
