Bookkeeper – Roofing Construction
Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday | 4 days WFH | 1 day in Office
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and administrative functions
for a well-established roofing and general contracting firm. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with
QuickBooks, construction accounting, and independent decision-making. This is a high-impact role offering flexibility,
autonomy, and the potential for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report directly to ownership and provide ongoing administrative support
• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, GL management, job costing, and payroll coordination
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements; manage online banking plaƞorms
• Prepare and maintain financial statements to support tax prep and audits
• Work directly with CPA on year-end requests
• Partner with insurance agent during the Annual General Liability audit
• Track and manage:
o Company vehicles, tag renewals, and insurance updates
o Subcontractor and 1099 sales rep onboarding, contracts, and insurance documents
• Prepare and file annual 1099s
• Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting.
• Previous experience as a bookkeeper in construction or a related industry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
• Familiarity with AccuLynx is preferred.
• Previous experience in roofing or construction-related trades is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or in a team environment.
• Dependable, responsible, and adaptable to a fast-paced industry.
