Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement consulting engagements, from initial opportunity assessment through implementation and results delivery.
Structure projects into clear workstreams, anticipate dependencies, and manage resources effectively.
Create and maintain visible project timelines, milestones, and progress reporting for stakeholders.
Diagnose procurement operations using rapid assessment tools and data-driven analysis to identify value creation opportunities.
Develop and execute 180-day procurement integration plans for acquisitions, ensuring alignment with value creation targets.
Partner with portfolio company leadership to implement procurement strategies aligned to their product roadmap and operational goals.
Lead structured vendor selection processes (RFQ/RFP), ensuring operational, quality, and delivery requirements are met.
Conduct direct negotiations with vendors to achieve must-have outcomes while fostering long-term partnerships.
Establish contract terms that protect and advance portfolio company interests.
Design and implement vendor management systems and KPI dashboards.
Prioritize and interpret data to uncover actionable procurement insights.
Use visualization and clear narrative to present findings and drive executive decisions.
Develop innovative cost-comparison models and component analysis to optimize total cost of ownership.
Craft executive-level written communications that frame recommendations for action.
Lead stakeholder meetings to define outcomes, using a range of influencing styles—logic, empathy, and authority.
Facilitate buy-in across diverse leadership groups and operational teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
3 years consulting experience in procurement, ideally working in a procurement practice.
5 years strategic procurement in an industry role.
Skills & Competencies:
