The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist to lead our clinical safety initiatives. You will oversee our facility’s Infection Control Program in compliance with NYSDOH and CMS regulations, ensuring a safe environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and investigate infectious outbreaks within the facility.
- Train staff on proper PPE, hand hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Update facility policies to align with current New York State health guidelines.
- Manage mandatory state and federal reporting (including NHSN).
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred).
- Specialized training in infection prevention (IPCO or CIC preferred, or willing to obtain).
