Industrial Automation Maintenance Technician (PLC/VFD)

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery to sustain accurate, dependable operation.
• Service industrial electronics and control systems, resolving faults across diverse equipment.
• Set up, tune, and troubleshoot DC and AC variable frequency drives (VFDs) for optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair programmable logic controllers, specifically Allen‑Bradley SLC‑500 and CompactLogix.
• Use appropriate test equipment to confirm hypotheses and verify repairs.
• Read and apply mechanical prints/drawings and electrical line diagrams/relay logic.
• Support facility utilities: air compressors; pneumatic and hydraulic systems; chilled water; and HVAC equipment.

Other related tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs.

• Demonstrated competency with DC and AC VFD installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience repairing Allen‑Bradley SLC‑500 and CompactLogix PLCs.
• Proficiency using test equipment for electrical/electronic diagnostics.
• Foundational understanding of air compression, pneumatics, hydraulics, chilled‑water systems, and HVAC.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical documentation, including relay logic.

• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Air‑conditioned workspace with typical machinery noise levels.
• Possible exposure to coolants, lubricants, abrasive compounds, electricity, and wiring.

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, pushing/pulling, grasping, kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting/turning, and reaching above the shoulder.
• Lift and carry 0–50 lbs.
