Cash Receipts/Billing Specialist, Contract to Direct Hire/Benefits

Our client company was founded in Orlando over sixty years ago and began with just the founder and two employees. They manufactured concrete block three days a week and delivered block three days a week depending on demand. The founder's spouse was technically a fourth employee, but she was not on the payroll. She would spend Florida days without air conditioning, sitting in her car doing the bookkeeping because they had no office. As time went on, they conservatively grew their business from one plant to five plants under a single roof. This successful team worked together for over fifty-two years. Now, the company is managed by the third generation of the family with eleven other locations besides Orlando.

Position Overview:

The company is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Receipts/Billing Specialist to join their team. Unless you have several years of A/R experience, you will not be considered.

This role requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Experience managing Certificates of Insurance

· Experience invoicing and billing within a manufacturing environment

· Handle payment processing and posting.

· Update and maintain customer and vendor account information.

· Review correspondence from customers and vendors, collaborating with internal and external teams to resolve issues and concerns.

· Serve as backup processor for accounts payable invoices as needed

· Perform additional clerical duties as required.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable Experience.

· Prior Experience in Construction Industry is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, take ownership, and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

· Effective Communication skills for both internal and external teams.

· Experience with Microsoft Office and accounting software required.
