Job Title: Assembly/ Material HandlerLocation: De Pere WIShift: 1st shift: M-F 6am to 2pmIndustry: Building Supply / ManufacturingJob Description:We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused 2nd Shift Sawyer/Material Handler to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately cutting building materials to specified dimensions using industrial saws and assisting with the movement, staging, and organization of materials throughout the facility. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:Operate industrial saws to cut wood and other building materials to specified measurements.Read and interpret work orders, cut lists, and material specifications.Measure and verify cut materials for accuracy using tape measures and calipers.Handle, move, and stage raw materials and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality, damage, and accuracy.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper storage of materials.Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Assist with inventory counts and tracking material usage.Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior experience operating saws or similar cutting equipment required.Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or a building supply environment preferred.Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math, including fractions.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.Must be able to work 2nd shift and occasional overtime as needed.Company DescriptionSnelling Staffing Services is a locally managed branch of a nationally recognized staffing firm that’s been connecting talented workers with leading employers since 1951.
