Job Summary
Snead Eye Group is seeking an Experienced Ophthalmic Technician to support our ophthalmology clinics across Fort Myers, Naples, and Bonita Springs.
This role requires prior experience in an ophthalmology or optometry clinic and the ability to travel between Snead Eye Group locations as needed.
The Ophthalmic Technician will assist physicians with patient workups, diagnostic testing, and clinical documentation while helping maintain efficient patient flow in a high-volume specialty practice. This position plays an important role in delivering high-quality eye care and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient workups including visual acuity testing, tonometry, and patient history collection
- Document patient information accurately in EMR systems
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
- Perform diagnostic testing such as OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and A-scan
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Support efficient patient flow in a busy ophthalmology clinic
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in an ophthalmology or optometry clinic required
- Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment preferred
- Strong computer and EMR documentation skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Snead Eye Group clinic locations
Schedule
Monday – Friday
28–35 hours per week
No weekends

Probationary Period
