We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Operations Specialist to assist our loan production specialists with appraisal reviews, investor underwriting submissions, preliminary title review, and other tasks as needed; disburse loans we close locally; assist with the appraisal desk; complete portfolio loans for imaging; manage our stale check processes; and provide back-up to the mortgage loan servicer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor loan pipeline and follow up on upcoming lock expirations
- Prepare closing documents and support day-of-close activities
- Communicate with loan originators, closing agents, title companies, and attorneys
- Resolve outstanding documentation with closing partners
- Assist with recording and filing documents
- Manage loan funding and disbursements
- Return final documents to borrowers after closing
- Coordinate appraisal orders and ensure policy compliance
- Review preliminary title work and identify issues
- Provide backup support for appraisal functions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years professional office experience
- Knowledge of Mortgage loan processes
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
- Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion
HOURS:
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
