What You'll Do

• Accurately review and interpret policy coverage to determine whether the claim is payable under the policy.
• Effectively correspond with defense attorneys, insureds, claimants, medical specialists, agents, and witnesses to gather necessary information.
• Work with defense counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Thoroughly and accurately examine claim file history prior to initiating legal proceedings to confirm coverage or liability decisions.
• Calculate and approve claims payments within specified monetary limits.
• Negotiate and settle bodily injury claims with minimal oversight.
• Efficiently maintain claim file diaries and court dockets.
• Provide timely communication with management regarding risk analysis and review of defense attorneys' action plans.
• Analyze cost-benefit factors to assess settlement options versus continued litigation.
• Develop effective mediation strategies and prepare accordingly.
• Directs defense counsel’s strategies, works with counsel to acquire appropriate discovery, determine necessary depositions, and retains experts.
• Participate in mediations and settlement conferences.

What We’re Looking For

• Possess and maintain Property & Casualty Adjuster License issued by the Texas Department of Insurance.
• High school Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 3 years of experience managing personal auto Bodily Injury and Property Damage claim files; Experience handling claims involved in defense litigation proceedings is highly preferred.
• Wields exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English), but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to process information quickly, respond strategically, and make sound decisions. 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and process information with a high degree of accuracy.

Job location: Rockwall, TX

Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, Monday – Friday
