Quality Control Technician

About the Role

We’re looking for a QA Floor Lab Technician to support quality, food safety, and product integrity throughout the production process. In this role, you’ll perform routine inspections, verify product specifications, document results, and communicate any issues that require correction. Your work directly impacts product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Follow company procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent product compliance
  • Perform inspections at key production stages to verify product and packaging specifications
  • Select and test product samples, document results, and request corrective actions when needed
  • Monitor corrective actions and follow up to ensure issues are resolved
  • Document quality data including date, technician name, machine number, operator, packer, product type, seasoning, and price confirmation
  • Conduct quality checks such as time verification, registration, code dates, seal integrity, graphics, displacement, oxygen levels, weights, and visual inspections
  • Place out‑of‑standard product on hold according to company procedures
  • Verify sanitation and setup during product changeovers to prevent cross‑contamination
  • Operate and maintain quality equipment including scales and oxygen hood equipment
  • Record downtime breakdowns and maintain accurate daily/weekly quality data

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to quality or production issues
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
  • Available for 2nd shift hours

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature changes, dust, and moving equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE such as hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and protective footwear
  • Strong visual acuity for inspections, documentation, and equipment monitoring
